Health Policy Research Grants AvailableThe Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is accepting applications for scholars to participate in the Health Policy Research Program. The aim of the program is to develop a new generation of creative thinkers in health-policy research within the disciplines of economics, political science, and sociology. Up to 12 individuals will be selected for two-year fellowships at one of three universities: the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco; the University of Michigan; and Harvard University. Scholars will work closely with faculty from the social sciences, medicine, public health and public policy fields in an environment that promotes disciplinary and multidisciplinary learning and collaborative research. To qualify for the program, applicants must have received a doctoral degree after January 2000, but no later than July 2005. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously worked in health or health-policy research. Scholars will receive stipends from their university of $74,000 for the first year and $77,000 for the second year. Limited financial support is available for research-related expenses. The application deadline is Oct. 22. Grant guidelines, forms and instructions are available at the program's website. Source: www.jointogether.org |
