 Chiron Launches New FoundationThe Chiron Corporation has launched a new corporate foundation with funding priorities that include improving quality of life, education, and healthcare in local communities, Foundation & Corporate Grants Alert reported in its August 2004 issue. The Chiron Foundation recently made its first $400,000 in grants; groups in areas close to Chiron's facilities received awards. Grantmaking priorities under the general category of "enriching lives through better communities" include services for at-risk children and youth.
