The Orchid Recovery Center For Women is unique in is ability to help women heal from drug addiction and alcoholism with love and dignity. Our drug treatment program focuses on clients maintaining long-term abstinence from mood-altering substances through holistic and 12-step based interventions, and on teaching new methods to cope with life issues. Highly qualified, experienced licensed primary therapists are dedicated to guiding clients through the early recovery process while treating them with love, dignity and respect. By providing a broad spectrum of services that treat the mind, body and spirit, Orchid Recovery Center for Women has emerged as the industry leader in the specialized treatment of women suffering from the diseases of drug addiction and alcoholism.

Treatment Philosophy:
Orchid is intended as a center for holistic women's healing. Here women begin a healing process that builds on an intense sense of community, with mutuality and compassion as vital elements of therapeutic enlightenment. Recovery comes more fully and easily to women who learn to rely on each other, an organizing principle Dr. Dodge refers to as "relational growth". At Orchid, we teach women to listen to voices that were previously dismissed, misunderstood, or simply ignored.

Drawing on an array of services, women usher in a new life at Orchid. The center allows women to bring their fears, questions, hopes, knowledge and experiences to the wisdom of the group, all the time acknowledging and learning from each others struggles and triumphs.

Our goal is to sharpen and articulate what is useful from traditional treatment models, while developing original treatment modalities that speak more fully to the feminine experience.

Family Program
Every Sunday family members of clients are invited and strongly encouraged to attend a healing therapeutic family session during which family members can learn about the addiction process and the disease concept while supporting their loved ones in their road to recovery. Addiction and Alcoholism are family diseases, and as such healing must take place across the entire family system, not just in the life and behaviors of the substance abuser. The Orchid Recovery Center for Women's family program serves to educate and begin to treat family of origin issues for our clients and their families.

12 Step Involvement
We at the Orchid Recovery Center believe that the 12 step program has been shown over decades to be the most effective basis for a treatment methodology to heal the destruction wrought by most addictive processes. This is why a core of 12 step methodology underscores all of the holistic, experiential, and cognitive behavioral aspects of our treatment approach. Our women regularly attend 12-step meetings during their course of treatment, and are strongly encouraged to continue with a structured program of meeting attendence, sponsorship, and daily meditation following completion of primary treatment at the Orchid Recovery Center for Women.
